Delusion Meets The Internet

May 31, 2006 worldofwarcraft.net

Tseric:

I know you all think that you are incredibly clever with your reposting of moderated topics and your nationalist flamewars, but I’m tired of having to come in every morning and clean up all these things that I would have to provided they were posted in the appropriate forum.

On Community, Or, The Equality Of Gameplay Automation

April 28, 1999 lumthemad

Sir Fragmor:

Community.Community would assume people together being social. This was one of UOs big selling points way back when and you can still hear them chanting it today. “It hurts the community”, “It would’nt be good for the online gaming community” Well its funny that they have these concerns about the “community” cause THEY themselves are setting forth precendents that will hurt the “Community” much more than any macro-miner or PK. A commune of people suggests interaction between members of players. Be that team work in fighting monsters, defeating PKs, questing, or treasure hunting. The point is these are all things that help Build, Make, and perpetuate the “community” because they are social in nature, as is a “community”.

14 Days Went To The World (Of Warcraft)

May 9, 2003 fohguild.org

Furor:

You have 14 Days. If after that time the Plane is not properly tuned, I am deleting my characters, and cancelling all of my accounts. The rest of my guild will follow suit, as will several other guilds and people that play Everquest.

Hat Goes On Head. Party Hat!

November 12, 2002 fohguild.net

Furor:

It had been a decade since the last Gatekeeper of the Four Kingdoms had been vanquished. For ten years, Furor Planedefiler, the bastard son of the Radiant One, Guardian of the Kingdom of Fire, Destroyer of Worlds, had scoured the lesser Planes to gain entrance to the Realm of Flame. Only then could his vengeance be extracted. Only then could he take his rightful place as ruler of fire.

His search had left many of the lesser Gods and thousands of their minions dead - sent back to that which has no name to suffer in anguish for all eternity.

Finally, the path had appeared before him in a vision heralded by the Elders of Tranquility.

I Know This Hurts You, Mr Afrasiabi

July 22, 2002 fohguild.org

Furor:

Some people would call me an avid Everquest player, perhaps to the point of fanaticism. If I were to describe myself to another person, however, my life with Everquest would more than likely be a tale left untold. It’s as if I lead a secret life: During the day I work, on weekends I go out with my friends and see my family, but on weekdays, once I’m home from work, I play Everquest. Rabidly.

14 Days Somehow Turned Into 2 Months

April 17, 2006 dtguilds.com/worldofwarcraft.com

Xi:

You have 14 Days. If after that time AQ is not properly tuned, I am deleting my characters, and cancelling all of my accounts. The rest of my guild will follow suit, as will several other guilds and people that play WoW.To be brief, I did not work my ass off, jumping through your idiotic hoops with my friends and guildmates, so I could go to a zone where there is zero fucking playtesting. That’s right not one fucking time did you incompetent fucks even try C’thun. EVEN if we ignore the bullshit that is Viscidus, FUCK YOU GUYS. Seriously, FUCK YOU.

Risen on World of Casualcraft

March 7, 2008 risen-guild.com

Failure:

Ok, so it’s a shitty title, sue me. The idea is there, and everyone knows it’s true. Blizzard no longer cares about the hardcore gamers, be that the raiders or the pvpers. Well, we’re done with it. It wasn’t just one thing really. While we were all excited to get some tier6 for our freshly 70 alts from this new badge gear, there’s a part of you that just has to feel some pain when you look back at all the time you spent farming instances…for nothing.

Raid Guilds As Sacrificial Chocobos

March 31, 2003 fohguild.org

Bazael:

Honestly - theres no reason for plane of time to be finished with the release of the expansion. No one had any right to be in plane of time for the first 2 months that POP was out. If its tuned right, your guild should need as much elemental loot as possible to even survive 3 steps into that zone. Plane of time should be an assraper of a zone. It SHOULD take you 2 months to farm eles and gear up for POT, not to mention all the flagging etc.

Furor On Nerfing Content

January 24, 2003 fohguild.org

nadime:

We’ve had a Hinvat Deathbringer pop on us during a TZ (script) kill… but I don’t remember those guys AE rampaging. Did they change those guys?

Furor:

Yes.The entire event is so severly gimped now from its first two incarnations that I can hardly call it the same thing. I’m not sure what beta-board crybaby is responsible for this, but I know it was one or a group of them (probably some gimp in KTF that has Jahar’s ear and cock).

You Mean Weapon Speed Matters?

January 6, 2003 fohguild.org

Kreugen:

In short, damn near every single two handed weapon in PoP, in every tier including the elemental planes, take a huge step backwards and are inferior to top end weapons in Luclin - which themselves were not significant upgrades over top end Velious weapons.Boy am I tired of this subject.
