What We Have Here Is A Failure To Communicate

March 11, 2008 risen-guild.com

Failure:

To start off, I am making this post to hopefully clear up a number of misconceptions spreading around. That being said, I am fully aware that the same people who are so hopelessly lost now will stay lost, due to their inability to understand simple English.

Raid Guilds As Sacrificial Chocobos

March 31, 2003 fohguild.org

Bazael:

Honestly - theres no reason for plane of time to be finished with the release of the expansion. No one had any right to be in plane of time for the first 2 months that POP was out. If its tuned right, your guild should need as much elemental loot as possible to even survive 3 steps into that zone. Plane of time should be an assraper of a zone. It SHOULD take you 2 months to farm eles and gear up for POT, not to mention all the flagging etc.

Furor On Nerfing Content

January 24, 2003 fohguild.org

nadime:

We’ve had a Hinvat Deathbringer pop on us during a TZ (script) kill… but I don’t remember those guys AE rampaging. Did they change those guys?

Furor:

Yes.The entire event is so severly gimped now from its first two incarnations that I can hardly call it the same thing. I’m not sure what beta-board crybaby is responsible for this, but I know it was one or a group of them (probably some gimp in KTF that has Jahar’s ear and cock).

Attunement To The Core

June 19th, 2007 worldofwarcraft.com/elitistjerks.net

Tigole:

After a lot of thought and deliberation, we’ve decided to remove the attunement requirements to enter Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye. While many of our attunements in the Burning Crusade have been good progression checks, a few of the attunements have turned out to cause unnecessary stress on guilds either doing the content or attempting to do the content. With Black Temple and Battle for Mount Hyjal thriving, we want to encourage (rather than prevent) new guilds and raid groups to attempt Serpentshrine and TK. We are going to leave the current attunement quests in the game so that players can still engage in the challenge and the lore of those quests should they choose to. At a later point, we are considering adding a final reward step to those quests as well (that way those who have already completed them would not miss out on a *new* reward). We’re listening to feedback from you guys constantly and your opinions are important to us. We want this game to be the best possible MMO experience for our players.

Enjoy Serpentshrine and Tempest Keep =)

(Please note: This change will go live later today — it’s not yet active)

Choking On Our Excess Of Cake

October 1st, 2007 elitistjerks.com

Praetorian:

After a fairly upbeat period of initial t6 farming (”Yay, we beat the game!” “Yay, we’ve got so much free time now!” etc.) I’ve noticed that on our end, interest and general enthusiasm about the game are at an ebb among many of my guildmates. Perhaps full 2.3 patchnotes will help change this, but for raid guilds who have already “beaten the game,” 2.2 was a fairly lackluster patch. For people who PvP a lot, the arena season has dragged on for too long already, with anyone who cares at all about arenas as something other than a way to get a quick weapon long ago having assembled a full Gladiator set, and many people waiting for the upcoming class changes to breathe some fresh life into the same old matchups.
